The Dawn of Spring
The colors I used Blue, green, purple, turquoise, yellow
The painting measures 11x14 inches.
For this painting I decided I wanted the silhouette to be behind the background. So I began by painting the canvas turquoise. I then used wax to paint on the spaces where the bird and branch are going to be. Once the wax was cool and dry I painted over it with several colors. After the top layer of paint dried I scrapped off the wax area to reveal a beautiful silhouette.
Gallery wrapped canvas. The sides are painted black so it can be hung without a frame.
