Painting a day 12/11/12: Pepermint and Wintergreen

Peppermint and Wintergreen

This abstract painting was done in Acrylic paint on an 8x10 inch gallery wrapped canvas. The sides of the canvas are painted white for a frame free hanging which allows for a contemporary look.

This is what Holiday candy tastes like to me :). I used green, magenta and white to create this painting.

Painting a Day 12/10/12

A Distant Thought

This abstract painting was done in Acrylic paint on an 8x10 inch gallery wrapped canvas. The sides of the canvas are painted white for a frame free hanging which allows for a contemporary look.

I decided simplicity would be key in doing this piece. I used yellow ocher, burnt umber and white as the only colors on my palette.

I am attempting to begin doing a painting a day as a warm up to working on more intricate and time consuming pieces. These paintings will typically be on smaller canvases and be priced lower then my normal paintings because of this.

Title: Sunset on the Ocean

The knife painting was done in Acrylic paint on an 8x10 inch gallery wrapped canvas. The sides of the canvas are painted black for a frame free hanging which allows for a contemporary look.

The colors I used are ultramarine blue, navy blue, light blue, crimson red, yellow, orange, Fuchsia, and titanium white.
