Selling your art on Ebay for the Holidays

As many of you may know right now is the beginning of the busiest shopping season of the year. As and artist who would like to bring in a little extra income for Christmas i have been doing a lot of research on what to sell, how to sell it and when to begin listing.

I have decided that since the economy has not been performing well over the last few years that lesser expensive art is the way to go. So, I have have spent much of my time
listing ACEO prints.(for those of you who do not know what an ACEO is please refer to my blog "Why Aceo's")

Right now
eBay has great specials on listing of $.99 or less starting bids which makes listing an ACEO print for only $.99 free and i only have to pay a fee if the item sells. Not only that but with nice looking prints and such a low starting bid i am bound to bring in many viewers and hopefully lots of bids. Click on my link to the left to see my EBay auctions so you can see what i am referring to. I am able to list 100 ACEO prints for FREE!

In addition to that I have added some original
paintings at higher prices for any buyers who may like my prints but want an original work of art to give as a gift. And, i am also working on some ACEO Originals to list at a later date during my free time; they will go up as soon as I have finished listing my prints.

Now in order to
monetize on my listings it is vital to list something to end every day with more ending on higher volume buying days and less ending on the lower volume days. I have found in my own experience that Sunday and Monday evenings are great days for an auction to end, however since a week from today is Black Friday and a week from Monday being Cyber Monday I have upped the number of listings for those days. Do your own research to see when your target audience shops and when you should end your listings. A great tool I use frequently is the advanced search and I look for auctions like mine that have already ended to see what sells, when it ended and how much it went for.

In addition to
strategizing my listings I have also paid great attention to the buyers needs to get the item fast for the Holiday. Right now I am sending items within 1-2 days of the auctions ending and the closer to Christmas the sooner I will ship and the faster service I will offer to capitalize on the last minute shoppers.

One great resource that I have found to help out
allot while selling my art on eBay is this Ebook, click the link to learn more:
